German Excellence’s 1979 Porsche 911 SC did quite well, coming in 5th in the classic division, due to Richard Aten and Pete Welter, both experienced racing drivers and military veterans. Out of 43 cars that entered, only 34 finished. This is the 2nd consecutive year that German Excellence participated in the 1500 mile Targa Newfoundland Race.
